Am-Fi Xmas Show!

Dear (Your Name Here),

Just wanted to remind you about the American Mid-Fi Xmas Show tonight. The whole thing will take place indoors at the Mohawk and starts at 10 PM. $6 for 21+ and $8 for under. Burywood and Dr. Zoom will join us in rocking the stage until about midnight. Then, the entire Xmas Album will be performed entirely in its entirety! Austinist covered us in a nice little preview article if you want to read about it from that perspective. Thanks Austinist and Mohawk. And thanks to American Mid-Fi Records.

Well, preparing for this show has left us with little time. But come out and see us tonight! All ages, all night!

Revamped the site

I've taken the liberty of sprucing up the website. I just changed stuff I wanted to do in the beginning but didn't have time for. Everything should be a little faster, smoother and prettier. No more .html extensions to worry about either. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any problems.

Am-Fi XMas Album Release!

Dear (Your Name Here),

Well, as promised, SuperHouse is closing out the year with a bang or two (that's strang phrase). Here's the story:

Our musical paterfamilias, American Mid-Fi Records, decided to break down all its musicians to individuals and pair them up randomly to write original, holiday-inspired music for a compilation album. Some pairs split and some multi-tasked, but after about 2 months of hard work, Am-Fi has reached a total of 13 songs. To celebrate this feat, Am-Fi is throwing a huge CD-Release Party at The Mohawk (912 Red River).

On Friday, December 21st, SuperHouse will be playing a set, along with good friends Burywood and Dr. Zoom, which all starts at 10 PM. Then, to close the show, every song from the Am-Fi CD will be performed in its entirety. Santa says he's down for going to the show ("Dude... yeah man, I'm totally gonna be there! Let's get thro'd!"), and rumor has it that the Mohawk may be visited by the Christmas Robot. Door is $6 for 21+ and $8 for anyone younger. There will be so many CDs and so many discounts, you won't even know what the hell is going on. So much rock will be pooring into your ears that you will internally melt. You'll be so messed up that Death won't even take you.

And that's not all! ... Well, never mind, that's basically all there is to it. But seriously, four different Christmas songs that each member of SuperHouse took a part of with 9 others on one CD. And laser lights. We will have our CDs in case you haven't gotten one yet. And this will definitely be one kick-ass live show.

End SuperBlog.

FF,FT on iTunes!

Dear (Your Name Here),

SuperHouse is now on iTunes! As you might have guessed, you can buy a digital copy of the album for $9.99. That's a whole penny cheaper than CD Baby! But you don't get that crystalesque jewel case with our very own artwork. And the segues might not be as fluid. Is that worth an extra cent? It's up to you to make that choice. Now even more people will dance and rock out to Friends Forever, Fighting Together and let us know what they think of it.

Speaking of which, feel free to give feedback on the album by emailing us at superhouserock@gmail.com, messaging us on myspace, or just jotting it down in the iTunes or CD Baby reviews. As much as we enjoy creating our art, we also know that what we're doing is partially entertainment, so if you have the time, go ahead and let us know what you think and what you like to hear when you put a CD in. It's like commissioned paintings for your ears.

Tomorrow night we go back to battle 6th St. attention deficit disorder at The Dizzy Rooster. Then Friday night we join Houston outfit and friendly band Something Really Dirty. These guys put on a very fun, awesome show with songs about Captain Planet, pirates, cowboys, etc. and a few covers that take you back (to the 90s). The show starts at 9 PM at The Parlor, pretty much at North Loop and Lamar. Pizza, beer and beverages available, juxtaposed with rockingness. AND IT'S FREE!!

Exciting things are still in store. I haven't even mentioned the Christmas show yet. Soon... soon...
